Finding the right words to express my gratitude for
those who came before me just do not exist. I am
struggling to write this as I am wrought with sadness
that our group has not been able to do even more to
reach the WI community.
After over 10 years of service to our Lyme community,
the Wisconsin Lyme Network will be dissolving.
Our mission statement: Wisconsin Lyme Network is a
statewide non-profit organization whose mission is to
raise awareness, provide education and support, and
promote research for vector-borne illnesses to the
patients, medical community and the general population
in Wisconsin.
We believe that at this time, much of what we set out to do has been accomplished
with the opening of the new Tick Borne Illness Center of Excellence, and the things
we have not been able to accomplish have not been without great effort to do so.
So at the end of the year, the Wisconsin Lyme Network will be no longer answering
emails and will be in the process of shutting down all forms of public communication,
including email, the website and Facebook page.
If you have been using Amazon Smiles for donations, please remove us from your list
as we would like to have all financials completed by end of December.
If you would like to participate in future Lyme discussions, there are many ways in
which you may do so. There have been many Facebook discussion groups that have
opened up over the last few years and below are resources that we hope will be helpful to you and your loved ones.
With a heavy heart, we thank all of those who have over the years jumped in at one
point or another to help us and help others in their Lyme fight. As our slogan said,
Ticks Bite and We Fight.
Thank you again everyone.
